You dont need to take the cover off to get at the aldl plug. New crank, cam, rods, pistons, etc. The camshaft position (cmp) sensor picks up it’s signal through the reluctor wheel which is at the rear of the camshaft itself.
Crank Angle Sensor Is Only Issues On V6.
The camshaft position sensor may have failed. So trying to sort out the crank position sensor, mounting the sensor i'd like to face the plug connector either up or down but i'm unsure if that will make the sensor not read as i believe it's a dual track or input sensor. This is a discussion on do i need a crank sensor relearn?
Turn The Ignition Key To The On Position, But Don't Start The Engine.
A wire or connector in the circuit could be grounded/shorted/broken. The plugs look interchangeable between the two but there are polarity keys in the socket requiring a different plug. This sensor informs the pcm whether a cylinder is on the firing or the exhaust stroke, as the motor is turning the reluctor wheel interrupts the hall effect sensor by blocking the magnetic field the sensor emits.

But shortly after the engine is running i get a p0343 dtc error logged for a camshaft position sensor. Efi connectionĆs 24x lt1 conversion kit includes a crankshaft reluctor, crankshaft sensor, camshaft reluctor, camshaft sensor, and camshaft sensor housing. New crank, cam, rods, pistons, etc.
